Biography
When I stepped into my first Nia class in 2015, I had no idea how much Nia would change my life and my body. Prior to that time, I had experienced chronic back issues which impacted on my ability to work and to travel. Fastforward to now and I not only move with ease, but I feel better in my body than I have for decades. Not only has this holistic dance practice improved my spine and my posture, it has also injected my life with a massive dose of JOY and brought me into contact with an amazing community. For me it was a natural progression to train to become a Nia teacher so I could dive deeper into the practice and share the many benefits with others! I now receive so much joy from observing my students as they reconnect with their bodies and rediscover their own innate grace and strength.
Nia is not about ‘getting the steps right’ it is about connecting to the JOY of movement, moving in accordance with YOUR body’s way and above all, having FUN.
