Danielle has completed Nia’s White Belt training.
“Dancing is something we can do for enjoyment and health throughout our whole lives. Nia is for everybody, every age and every stage. It is a way to reclaim the joy of moving to music, without fear of being judged or ‘getting it wrong’.
A Nia class makes you feel calm yet invigorated. I especially love that Nia is practised barefoot, which encourages mindful movement and a connection to the earth.
The benefits of Nia, and all forms of dance, are myriad: flexibility, agility, strength, stress-release, cardio and cognitive health.”

For Nia feel free to wear any exercise or comfortable clothing that makes you feel good and free to move. Bring along a water bottle and a towel or yoga mat if you have one.
Nia is designed to be practised barefoot, if there are physical reasons not to practise barefoot, soft sole shoes can be worn.
